Nervous Patients
Here at ConfiDental Clinic, Greenwich we understand that some patients may experience stress and anxiety when visiting the dentist. If you are a person who suffers from fears of receiving dental treatment, you have the option to undergo sedation during treatment.
Intravenous (IV) Sedation
IV sedation is when the patient is injected with the sedative to make them feel calm. It induces a state of relaxation and you will still be conscious throughout the procedure. As IV sedation normally causes temporary amnesia, usually the patient will not remember the treatment.
The effects of this sedation can be present for up to 24 hours after being injected. Please be aware that an adult should also assist you during this time. Your consultation prior to the procedure will allow your dentist to explain these effects in further detail.
If you have any further inquiries, please contact our friendly practice to receive more information or to book a consultation.
