Confidental Clinic Greenwich - An Introduction
Your local family and cosmetic dentists for South East London.
Welcome to today’s blog in which we provide a quick overview of the treatments we offer patients from the Greenwich area. We will cover these in more depth in future blog posts, and, if you have any specific questions relating to treatments that you would like answering, please let us know.
Preventative and general dentistry
The key role of dentists and hygienists is to assist patient in having a healthy mouth. This starts with preventative dental care.
Regular oral health checks for all family members are recommended in order to detect any problems in their early stages. Whilst, at times, it may be necessary to have a small filling or a scale and polish to clean the teeth and gums of plaque and tartar, these treatments are minor compared to what might be needed if the teeth and gums were neglected for longer periods of time.
In addition to regular dental checks, we also recommend that patients visit our hygienist to have their teeth and gums professionally cleaned. This is an excellent way of helping to prevent gum disease which is responsible for more tooth loss in the UK than tooth decay. Our hygienist also performs an important education role in advising patients about how best to care for their oral health.
Cosmetic dentistry
In addition to general dental care, we also offer cosmetic dental treatment at the Confidental Clinic to help patients achieve an attractive smile. There are many procedures available to suit individual requirements, and we offer a brief glimpse of three of the most popular below.
Teeth whitening - The most popular cosmetic dental procedure of all. Both affordable and fast acting, this straightforward treatment can whiten your teeth by up to eight shades, resulting in an immediately noticeable improved smile.
Orthodontics - Dental braces have improved greatly over the years, with many now being referred to as ‘invisible braces’ due to the tooth coloured manufacturing materials which render them almost invisible to others. Some, such as Invisalign, don’t even use the wire and brackets approach of conventional braces, but instead, use a series of transparent trays to straighten the teeth.
Dental implants - A modern approach to replacing missing teeth. Dental implants are, in effect, an artificial titanium root, which is placed into the bone structure of the jaw and allowed to bond, creating an extremely secure base. A dental crown is then added to it to complete the tooth, leaving a strong, secure and long lasting replacement for your missing tooth.
These are just a few of the treatments available at the Confidental Clinic, so if you are looking for a Greenwich dentist who can offer both general dental care, and cosmetic procedures to give you a great looking smile, why not call us today on 020 8858 1422.
